FAQs

  • Yes. Because of the limited number of spots in the LAUNCH program, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Identify as neurodivergent.

    • Be capable of working independently.

    • Be at least 18 years old.

    • Have graduated high school.

  • LAUNCH is a part-time internship. Participants typically work 2–3 shifts per week, with each shift lasting approximately four hours.

  • Parent and guardian involvement is essential to a participant’s success in LAUNCH. From interviews to ongoing support, families play an active role. Please refer to the program overview to learn more about specific expectations.

  • Reliable transportation is a key requirement. LAUNCH participants are held to Corewell Health’s standards of employment, including consistent and on-time attendance. For those who can’t drive, we recommend using services such as the PAATS bus at The Helm. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants who are unable to secure reliable transportation to and from their shifts.

  • The LAUNCH program is very individualized to each team member and their established goals. Our hope is that each team member achieves their goals and can feel confident in their skills. Some previous members have gone to college or vocational school while others have gained the training they needed to have a meaningful future.

  • Interest submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis as spots become available. While we strive to respond as quickly as possible, please allow several weeks for a response.

  • We’re happy to help! Please reach out to us at LAUNCH@corewellhealth.org, and a team member will get back to you shortly.
